Advertising Through Social Media

One comment I've heard over and over, “I’m a small business and I want to be BIG on Facebook, but how?”  Yes, what a fabulous question to ask.  One that can make you pull your hair out and completely wrack your brain.  Yes, LIKES are great.  I know, I would love to see in the thousands for all pages. However, is this realistic?  It can be, but in a recent study on Forbes.com, I noticed some shocking facts as they were also testing the market on Facebook Ads.

This business was able to generate over 6,000 likes on Facebook through Promotions and Post Promoting.  Very little cost to a small business.  However, after a little bit of research they noticed about 1 -5% of people that liked their page actually saw their daily postings.

In other words, this company created a very short-term potential client list.  Going through a number of management and marketing courses, the main subject one will cover is LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP.  How important is this phrase?  When a company is built from the ground up, the thought of the client priority can be lost and previous clients can be forgotten.  The same goes for Facebook.  Generating the number of people on Facebook that LIKE your page for who you are speaks volumes for your company.  They are the ones that will follow your posts and LIKE the content you post.
