I’m a broken woman. Literally. Two weeks ago I broke my foot. I simply missed a step on the stairs in my garage and now I’m sporting this lovely air cast for 6-8 weeks.
Photo Caption -Here you get an inside glimpse into the world of Xapsis Ingrated Marketing. You can spy two very important things in the background 1) The coffee pot - our production team is fueled by caffeine and creativity and 2) Molly – our own Social Media Specialist (she can post to Facebook faster than the speed of light)
Although I do love sympathy and attention, I haven’t milked it too badly. I’m pushing through my pain and working, going to Cub Scout meetings and trying to keep the wheels of my life in motion. Hmmm wheels-- that’s not a bad idea, maybe I’ll get a Segway scooter. I’m trying to have fun with the situation, so I decided to upgrade the look twice so far.

Photo Caption - This is what I call the squiggle look. With the help of some the new patterned duct tape and some ribbon I turned that boring cast into something a little jazzier. Viola!
But I can’t imagine wearing the same thing for two months straight I got to work again this weekend.

Let’s call this creation “Everything’s coming up Roses”.

While it is a pain (in several ways) to get around, it could be so much worse! I could have a big itchy cast that I can’t take off to sleep or shower. I could be on crutches. I could work at a physically challenging job like zookeeper or trapeze artist (by the way, I would LOVE either of those jobs if I had the talent for it). Instead, I set in motion our client’s visions with strategic marketing plans. I have the privilege to see their eyes when they see their idea come to life in the form of a website or other marketing materials. What we do here at Xapsis may not be rocket science, but it is important--especially to the local business people we work with every day. We breathe life into their brand. It’s pretty cool if I do say so myself. It keeps us going here at Xapsis, so broken as I may be, I will keep this boot walking.
