Turning A Site Mobile

It takes a little bit of time and determination to take a site mobile, but the end results are amazing. One hurdle to overcome is the difference in screen size. When you take a site from the size of around 1024 x 768 to a mobile size from 320×480, it takes preparation to place the right information to where it needs to be on the page.

One of the first mistakes website owners tend to make when building mobile versions is the assumption that every single piece of information that is included in their full site, should be included in their mobile environment. One of the most important aspects to try and accomplish is to limit your content on mobile.  You don’t want all of this information crammed into a small screen; the end results can be overwhelming.

The goal is to reach your visitors on the go; in return too much information on a mobile site can overwhelm a user enough to exit out of the site all together.  No matter what mobile website solution you choose, pay special attention on how easily users can access and interact with your site. These are just a few examples out of many to take into consideration when taking your site mobile.
