Create Trust Through Your Website

By Molly Grane - Social Media Specialist at Xapsis Integrated Marketing

How do you shop?  With increasing numbers around the globe, online sales have proven to be popular, particularly in the past decade.  In 2012, U.S. e-commerce sales amounted to 289 billion U.S. dollars, up from 256 billion U.S. dollars in 2011 (Statista).  With sales on the rise, more and more are looking to the web and social media platforms for answers.  Who to trust and where to buy?  One example for me is Amazon.  I find myself looking to them for answers, guidance and knowledge.  Their overall system is like no-other.  I can find reviews with the click of my mouse, or dimensions of a product that are typically not shown in store.  I have a trust in them, one that is hard to break.  To show the perfect example of how far my faith goes, there are times I will shop from another site and then eventually end up buying that same product from Amazon.  Why?  Again, it all lies in the trust.  If something pops out at me to not like a site, I will leave.  If I end up in the shopping cart and it looks a little sketchy, I’m out.  The web world has become a landing-zone of mistrust.  Fraud is on the rise, and consumers are getting skeptical.

How do we create a solution to the problem?  Have you ever heard the saying “don’t judge a book by the cover?”  This statement does not apply here.  Looks are everything when dealing with a cover page of a website.  Fresh, clean and user-friendly sites are the ones that speak volumes, the ones that tell the judging eye to halt.

Here at Xapsis, we can help give your site a fresh-exciting new look, one that will halt the judging eye like me.  With over 289 billion users shopping online, this is where the market sees great advantage.  Take advantage of these potential shoppers and give Xapsis a call today!
